Set Condition

The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) compares the Short Runner Valve (SRV) control circuit feedback to a calibrated range. The valve is controlled by using a Pulse Width Modulated (PWM) duty cycle. Normally when de-energized the PWM duty cycle is between 75% and 85% or when energized is between 35% and 55%.
The DTC will set if the PWM duty cycle value when de-energized is above 85% or below 75% or when energized is above 55% or below 35% for more than a calibrated amount of time.
