Removal And Installation: Installation

NOTE: Illustration shown with instrument panel removed from view for clarity.
  1. Position the Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) module (3) to the HVAC housing.
  2. Install and tighten the screws (1) that secures the HVAC module to the HVAC housing.

  3. Connect the wire harness connector (2) to the HVAC module.
  4. Install the glove box. Refer to GLOVE BOX, INSTRUMENT PANEL, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  5. Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector to the negative battery cable.
    NOTE: If this Electronic Control Unit (ECU) is being replaced with a new unit, a diagnostic scan tool MUST be used to determine if alignment of the PROXI configuration data into the new ECU is needed. If PROXI alignment is needed, follow the routine outlined in the diagnostic scan tool for PROXI Configuration Alignment under the Body Control Module (BCM) Miscellaneous Functions menu.
  6. Initiate the Actuator Calibration function using a scan tool. Refer to HVAC VERIFICATION TEST .
