Output of Diagnostic Codes
- Battery voltage must be 11 volts or more, throttle valve fully closed, and all accessories must be off. Using Engine Control System Sub Harness (09991-87702-000), short terminal "T" (Brown/White) to ground terminal (Black) of check terminal connector. Check terminal connector is located at upper section of transmission. See Figure .
- Turn ignition on. DO NOT start engine at this time. Read diagnostic code by observing flashing number sequence of "Check Engine" light. If a code No. 1 is memorized by ECU, "Check Engine" light will flash for .48 second, pause for 4.5 seconds, then flash for .48 second again. This pattern will be repeated.
- If more than one code has been memorized by ECU, there will be a 2.5 second lapse between each code. ECU will flash smaller number code first and proceed to larger number code. After codes have been read, remove Engine Control System Sub Harness (09991-87702-000) from check terminal. Install cap on check terminal.
