Intake Air Temperature Sensor
- Disconnect intake air temperature sensor connector. Using a DVOM, measure temperature resistance of air inside surge tank. Disconnect air hose from throttle body.NOTE: Ensure that DVOM test lead does not make contact with surge tank or throttle body during measurement.
- Measure temperature of air inside surge tank by opening throttle valve. Measure resistance between terminals of intake air temperature sensor. See Fig 1 .
- If resistance is not as shown, replace intake air temperature sensor. Check to ensure there is no continuity between each terminal of intake air temperature sensor and sensor body. If continuity is present, replace intake air temperature sensor.
