Bench Test

  1. Remove cold start injector by removing 2 bolts. Connect fuel hose to Special Union (09268-87702-000). See Fig 1 . Attach special Union to cold start injector. Install special Connector (09991-87702-000) on check terminal "F" to ground terminal. See Figure . 2)Connect Cold Start Injector Special Connector (09842-30050-000) to start injector. See Fig 1 . Insert connector into a container. Reconnect cable to battery negative terminal. Turn ignition ON. Connect positive terminal to Cold Start Injector Special Connector to positive terminal battery. Connect negative terminal to battery negative. Ensure that fuel is injected in a atomized condition.

    CAUTION: Perform check in the shortest possible time. Place battery as far away as possible. Do not allow a[arks to occur.
  2. If atomization condition is unsatisfactory, replace cold start injector. Disconnect negative cable from cold start injector connector from battery. Check injector for fuel leakage.
  3. Leakage should be less than one drop per minute. If leakage exceeds the allowed limit, replace cold start injector. Turn ignition OFF. Disconnect cable from battery negative terminal. Remove all special tools. Attach cap to check terminal.
