Throttle Position Sensor: Service and Repair

Throttle Position Sensor R & R:

1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Disconnect the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) 3-way electrical connector.
3. Remove the mounting screws (2), and remove TPS from throttle shaft.
4. Install new TPS on throttle shaft and install screws, torquing them to 17 lbs. in. (2 N-m).
5. Connect the TPS 3-way electrical connector.
6. Connect the negative battery cable.
