Trouble Shooting: Introduction
These procedures contain specifications, instructions, and illustrations needed to diagnose Powertrain Control Module (PCM) problems: they are no-start, diagnostic trouble code, and no trouble code problems for PCM. Diagnostics are based on trouble condition or symptom being present at time of diagnosis.
When repairs are required, refer to appropriate procedure for removal and repair procedure. Diagnostic procedures change every year. New diagnostic systems may be added; carry over systems may be enhanced. Read procedures and any appropriate TSB's before trying to diagnose a DTC. It is recommended that you review entire procedure to become familiar with all diagnostic procedures.
