One Gauge Not Operating Properly
NOTE:
Before proceeding with test, diagnose any stored PCM DTCs first. See RETRIEVING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES
under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. Ensure instrument cluster is able to communicate on the PCI BUS.
- Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC), under lower left side of instrument panel. Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, select BODY, MIC, SYSTEM TESTS, then CLUSTER CALIBRATION POINTS. Using scan tool, select inoperative gauge and actuate gauge calibration points. Gauges should reach specified calibration points. See GAUGE CALIBRATION POINTS table. If the inoperative gauge responded correctly to the calibration points, go to next step. If the inoperative gauge did not respond correctly to the calibration points, replace instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
