Radiator, Engine Cooling: Removal: Diesel

- Disconnect negative cable from battery.
- Raise and support the vehicle.
- If equipped, remove the belly pan from the vehicle.
- Drain the cooling system.
- Recover the refrigerant from the A/C system.
- Remove the right inner splash shield.
- Remove the left inner splash shield.
- If equipped, disconnect the fog lamp connectors from the fascia.
- Remove the lower support to front fascia pushpins.
- Remove the lower radiator hose at the radiator.
- Remove the charge air cooler hoses.
- Lower the vehicle.
- Remove the front fascia. Refer to FASCIA, FRONT, REMOVAL

- Remove the upper radiator hose at the radiator.
- Remove the coolant bypass hose at the radiator.
- Remove radiator upper crossmember support. Refer to CROSSMEMBER, RADIATOR, REMOVAL

- Remove the radiator fan module. Refer to FAN, COOLING, REMOVAL .
- Remove the A/C lines at the condenser. Refer to LINE, A/C DISCHARGE, REMOVAL
, LINE, A/C LIQUID, REMOVAL
and LINE, A/C SUCTION, REMOVAL
.
- Disconnect the transmission oil cooling lines at the cooler.
- Remove the cooling module (radiator, A/C condenser and charge air cooler) as an assembly. Care should be taken not to damage radiator cooling fins or water tubes during removal.
- Remove the right side A/C condenser line bracket from the radiator.
- Separate the A/C condenser from the radiator by depressing the clips.
- Separate the charge air cooler from the radiator by depressing the clips.
