DECOUPLER, Generator: Installation: Installation

1. Thread decoupler pulley onto generator shaft by hand (right-hand threads).
2. Position Special Tool (special tool #8433A, Remover/Installer, Decoupler) into decoupler. Align tool to hex end of generator shaft.
3. Using a beam style torque wrench and tighten in direction as illustrated to 110 N.m (81 ft. lbs.).
4. Install generator to engine. Refer to GENERATOR, INSTALLATION .

5. Connect battery negative cable (4) and tighten to 10 N.m (90 in. lbs.).
