Plug, Glow: Removal
- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
- Remove the engine cover.
- Remove the radiator crossmember. Refer to CROSSMEMBER, RADIATOR, REMOVAL
.NOTE:
The EGR Control valve only needs to be remove if glow plug No. 2 is being serviced.
- Remove the EGR air flow control valve. Refer to VALVE, EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATION (EGR) AIRFLOW CONTROL, REMOVAL .
- Remove bolt and the glow plug wire harness bracket.
- Clean the glow plug bay area.
- Disconnect the glow plug harness connector (1).
- Remove the glow plug(s) (1) from cylinder head.
