Module, Power Inverter: Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the steering column opening cover. Refer to COVER, STEERING COLUMN OPENING, REMOVAL .

  3. Remove the fasteners (2) that secure the Power Inverter Module (PIM) bracket to the instrument panel carrier.
  4. Disconnect the wire harness connector(s) and remove the PIM (1) from the vehicle.
  5. If necessary, remove the fasteners that secure the PIM bracket to the PIM. Remove the PIM from the mounting bracket.
