Removal And Installation: Installation
- Install the ignition capacitor (2) to the front of the cylinder head with the nut (3) tightened to the proper torque specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Connect and lock the electrical connector (1).
- Install the heatshield (1) to the mounting stud.NOTE:
The support bracket must be installed on the power steering pump before pump installation.
- Install the power steering pump (1) in the mounting bracket with three bolts (2) hand tight.
- Install the nut (3) to the support bracket and tighten the nut and three bolts (2) to the proper torque specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

- Install the power steering hose support brackets to the cylinder head cover and tightened the nuts (1) to the proper torque specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

- Install the power steering pump pulley (1) with three bolts (2) tightened to the proper torque specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the accessory drive belt and belt guard. Refer to BELT, SERPENTINE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Install the air cleaner body. Refer to BODY, AIR CLEANER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Install the engine cover. Refer to COVER, ENGINE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector.
