Removal And Installation: Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the steering column opening cover. Refer to COVER, STEERING COLUMN OPENING, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

  3. Remove the lower Body Control Module (BCM) fastener (6).
  4. Remove the fastener (7) and lower the wire harness bracket (8).
  5. Remove the fasteners (1) and lower the fuse junction block (2).
  6. Disconnect the wire harness connectors (5) from the BCM (4).
  7. Remove the upper fasteners (3) and lower the BCM slightly.
  8. Disconnect the wire harness connectors from the back side of the BCM.
  9. Remove the BCM from the vehicle.
