Test 12 - Controller Signal Testing

MULTI-POINT INJECTION CONTROLLER SIGNAL TEST

1. Check the power transistor for a signal from the Multi-Point Injection (MPI) controller.
2. Connect a high impedance voltmeter to 1 terminal of the power transistor and a good ground.
3. Crank the engine and check voltmeter reading. There should be a small fluctuating voltage signal.
4. If there is a signal, problem is not ignition system related.
5. If there is no signal, check for a engine control problem.
