Evaporative Control: Notes

The evaporative emission control system prevents the escape of fuel vapors from fuel system into the atmosphere. When fuel vapors generated inside the fuel tank fill fuel tank, vapors press and open overfill limiter valve and pass through charcoal canister. Fuel vapors accumulated in the charcoal canister are taken from the charcoal canister to intake manifold where they are burned.
