Self-Diagnostic Check
- If cruise control system automatically cancels without driver canceling system operation or cruise control system cannot be set after automatic cancellation, check for diagnostic codes. See RETRIEVING CODES
. Compare diagnostic codes with SELF-DIAGNOSTIC DISPLAY PATTERNS and perform indicated test. See Fig 1
.
- If cruise control system can be set, road test vehicle to see if problem reoccurs. If problem does not reoccur, vehicle may have been driven on a steep grade causing automatic cancel without driver canceling system.
- If problem reoccurs, check for diagnostic codes. See RETRIEVING CODES
