Keyless Entry Inoperative

  1. Replace battery in transmitter. If door locks lock and unlock, system is okay. If door locks do not lock and unlock, go to next step.
  2. Check voltage at keyless entry module connector terminal "A". See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . If battery voltage is present, system is okay. If battery voltage is not present, repair open circuit between module connector and fuse No. 2.
  3. Disconnect keyless entry module connector and check resistance at terminal "H" of harness connector and ground. If reading is zero ohms, system is okay. If not, repair open circuit between terminal "H" and ground.
  4. With keyless entry module connector disconnected, connect jumper wire between terminals "A" and "G", then terminals "A" and "B". If door locks lock and unlock, replace keyless entry module. If doors do not lock and unlock, repair open circuit between harness connector terminals "A", "B" and "G".
