Sensor-To-Rotor Gap Adjustment
- Raise and support vehicle. Remove tire and wheel assembly. Inspect sensor pole piece for damage. Repair if necessary. If sensor pole piece is okay, check wheel speed sensor-to-rotor gap.
- Using a feeler gauge, measure clearance between the speed sensor pole and the rotor tooth surface. See Fig 1. Also, refer to the WHEEL SPEED SENSOR-TO-ROTOR GAP SPECIFICATIONS table. If clearance is not within specification, loosen sensor mounting bolt. Adjust sensor position until clearance is within specification. Tighten sensor mounting bolt.
