"G" Force Sensor

  1. Test "G" force sensor. See "G" FORCE SENSOR under DIAGNOSIS & TESTING. If sensor is okay, go to next step. If sensor is faulty, replace sensor. See "G" FORCE SENSOR under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
  2. Ensure ignition switch is in OFF position. Disconnect ECM wiring harness connector. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Using a DVOM, measure voltage between ECM connector terminal No. 6 (Blue/Black wire) and ground. See Figure . If battery voltage does not exist, repair or replace wiring harness between "G" force sensor and ECM. If battery voltage exists, "G" force sensor circuit is okay. Replace faulty ECM.
