Ambient Temperature Sensor

Ambient temperature sensor monitors intake air temperature. The PCM-supplied CCD bus signal is used by TCM to estimate transaxle fluid temperature. When TCM detects low temperatures, it adjusts transaxle operation by slowing solenoid valve response.
