Vehicle Tracking Module (VTM)

Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Remove the instrument panel cover (1). Refer to COVER, INSTRUMENT PANEL, REMOVAL .

Remove the Vehicle Tracking Module (VTM) nut (1) to evaporator.
Remove the VTM bracket retainer (2) to the instrument panel support brace.
Rotate the VTM to disconnect the VTM electrical connector (3).
Remove the VTM (4) from the vehicle.

Remove the VTM (1) mounting bracket retainers (2) and separate the VTM from the bracket.

NOTE:

If replacing the VTM BACKUP BATTERY or the SUBSCRIBER IDENTIFICATION MODULE (SIM) CARD. Refer to BACKUP BATTERY or SUBSCRIBER IDENTIFICATION MODULE (SIM) CARD .
