Program The BCM (Body Control Module)
NOTE:
When replacing the BCM, the BCM must be ordered through the parts department by VIN. The new BCM will arrive within 24 hours.
When replacing any module, note the replacement and programming order. For more information, refer to MODULE REPLACEMENT AND PROGRAMMING ORDER GUIDE .
NOTE:
All keys must be present when programming the keys to the BCM, any keys that are not present when programming the BCM will never be able to be programmed to any BCM again.
- Cycle ignition on (this will also re-sync the key Fob and BCM).
- Check vehicle for DTC's.
- Clear all stored DTC's.
- Turn car OFF then ON and confirm DTC's are gone.
- Manually (not with key fob) Lock/Unclock the driver door. This will allow BCM to learn the lock status.
