Diagnostic Test

  1. CHECK THE TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE (TCM) 

    Repair 

    • Using the schematics as a guide, check the Transmission Control Module (TCM) terminals and connectors for corrosion, damage, or terminal push out. Pay particular attention to all power and ground circuits. Check for any Service Information Tune-ups or Service Bulletins for possible causes that may apply. If no problems are found, replace and program the Transmission Control Module Assembly (TCM) in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to MODULE, TRANSMISSION CONTROL [EAJ], REMOVAL or MODULE, TRANSMISSION CONTROL [EAB], REMOVAL .
    • Perform the AW60T VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE  .
