Electric Window System Initialization

The power window initialization procedure must be preformed after the following:

• Power window main switch or power window sub-switch is replaced
• The power window connector is disconnected while the window is being operated (e.g. motor circuit)
• Interventions that could cause a difference between the window position stored in the EEPROM and its effective position (removal of the window, the regulator or the electric window motor)

The initialization procedure must be performed as described below with the doors closed:

1. Close the convertible top and secure the top lock.
2. Switch the ignition to ON.
3. Fully open the door window (driver side) by operating the electric window main switch.
4. Fully close the door window (driver's side) by operating the electric window main switch and hold the switch for approx. 2 seconds or more with the door window fully closed.
5. Fully open the door window (passenger's side) by operating the electric window main switch or electric window sub-switch.
6. Fully close the door window (passenger side) by operating the electric window main switch or electric window sub-switch and hold the switch for approx. 2 seconds or more with the door window fully closed.
