Indirect System
TPMS initialization procedure using tire pressure monitoring set switch:
- Adjust all four tire pressures to the specified value while the tires are cold.
- Switch the ignition ON (engine OFF or ON)
- Press and hold the tire pressure monitoring system set switch until its warning light flashes once or twice and the audible alarm sounds once. See Fig 1.
NOTE:
Learning starts when the tire pressure monitoring system is initialized. Learning is completed by driving the vehicle for approx. 20 min. While the tire pressure monitoring system is undergoing learning, its primary functions do not operate.
