Removal And Installation: Installation

  1. Be certain that the clockspring is not damaged.
  2. Connect the wire harness connectors.
  3. Position the clockspring for airbag module on steering wheel, engage the upper retaining clip and the side retainers.
  4. Install the steering column upper and lower shrouds. Refer to SHROUD, STEERING COLUMN, LOWER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATIONSHROUD, STEERING COLUMN, UPPER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  5. Install the steering wheel. Refer to WHEEL, STEERING, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  6. Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector.
  7. Connect the scan tool and check that there are no Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) in the system.
