Orange is the warning color used to identify high voltage parts. These warning labels are attached to the high-voltage battery pack.
WARNING
When performing any repairs that involve contact with High Voltage or Hybrid components or systems, the technician performing repairs on the vehicle must verify that the system remains powered down during High Voltage Repairs.
- This must be done by removing the Service Disconnect.
- The High Voltage check out procedure must also be performed to ensure that the vehicle is properly powered down.
- The Service Disconnect must be secured in a safe area that no one else can access during the time of repair. It is strongly recommended that the technician place the Service Disconnect in a locked tool box or keep in the personal possession of the technician until the repair is completed.
