Valve Body: Installation: Notes
- Connect the linkage rod to the valve body and install to the transmission.
- Install the clip to the linkage rod (1).
- Install the valve body bolts. The longer bolts (1) are installed in the positions shown in illustration.
- Install the remaining bolts. Hand tighten the bolts evenly in sequence. Final tightening of the bolts to 10 N.m (89 in. lbs.) in the sequence shown in illustration.
- Install the speed sensor connector (1) to the solenoid clamp.
- Install the sensor (3) to the valve body, install the oil temperature sensor clamp (2) and the bolt (1). Tighten the bolt to 7 N.m (62 in. lbs.).
- Connect the solenoid connectors and the speed sensor connectors (1).
- Connect the wire harness to the clamps.CAUTION:
Do not over apply sealant as fluid contamination may occur.
- Install a small and uniform bead of 3 bond gasket sealer to the side cover.
- Install the side cover and the side cover bolts (1). Tighten the bolts to 25 N.m (18 ft. lbs.).
- Install the electric cooling fan. Refer to FAN, COOLING, REMOVAL .
- Install the battery tray. Refer to TRAY, BATTERY, REMOVAL .
- Install the engine cover (1). Refer to AIR CLEANER, REMOVAL .
- Re-fill the transmission fluid. Refer to FLUID, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
