Removal And Installation: Installation

NOTE:
Ensure that both inside and outside of the windshield in the area of the Forward Facing Camera (FFC) is clean of dirt, dust, or finger prints prior to installation.
- Check that the lane crossing warning control unit is not damaged.
- Fit the front part of the control unit in its housing, attaching the front side teeth in the relevant support housings.
- Rotate the control unit and engage its guides with the side retainers of the support.
- Fit the lining in its housing engaging the inner retainers to the pins on the windscreen.
- Fit the trims on the lining engaging the retainers.
- Connect the negative battery terminal.
- Perform module programming. Refer to MODULE, FORWARD FACING CAMERA (FFCM), MODULE PROGRAMMING .
NOTE:
If this Electronic Control Unit (ECU) is being replaced with a new unit, a diagnostic scan tool MUST be used to determine if alignment of the PROXI configuration data into the new ECU is needed. If PROXI alignment is needed, follow the routine outlined in the diagnostic scan tool for PROXI Configuration Alignment under the Body Control Module (BCM) Miscellaneous Functions menu.
