Module, Hands Free (HFM): Installation

NOTE:
The Hands Free Module (HFM) (1) is mounted above the steering column (3) and against the dash panel (4) to the underside of the instrument panel column support bracket.
- Position the HFM (1) above the steering column (3) and close enough to the dash panel (4) to access and reconnect the three wire harness connections (5) to the module connector receptacles.
- Position the HFM to the underside of the instrument panel column support bracket.
- Install and tighten the fasteners that secure the HFM to the underside of the instrument panel column support bracket. Tighten the screws securely.
- Reinstall the brake pedal assembly (1) to the dash panel. Refer to PEDAL(S), BRAKE AND/OR ACCELERATOR, INSTALLATION .
- Reinstall the knee blocker to the instrument panel steering column opening. Refer to KNEEBLOCKER, INSTALLATION .
- Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector.
