Module, Keyless Ignition Node (Kin): Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the switch-bank and bezel assembly. Refer to POD, SWITCH BANK, REMOVAL .
  3. Remove the instrument panel center bezel. Refer to BEZEL, INSTRUMENT PANEL, CENTER, REMOVAL .

  4. Disconnect the wire harness connector (1) from the Keyless Ignition Node (KIN).
  5. Push down on the release clips (2) and push the KIN (3) out the front of the instrument panel.
