Module, Power Inverter: Installation

  1. Install the small mounting bracket onto the PIM.
  2. Position the inverter into the vehicle and install the large mounting bracket and mounting fasteners.
  3. Connect the electrical connectors.
  4. Install the PIM onto the lower fastener and rotate it into place making sure that the small bracket is captured by the upper fastener.
  5. Install the fastener that was removed and tighten all the fasteners securely.
  6. Install the steering column opening cover. Refer to COVER, STEERING COLUMN OPENING, INSTALLATION .
  7. Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector.
