Acceleration Circuit Short

Turn ignition off. Disconnect EEC-IV control module (right side cowling) from wiring harness. Proceed to trunk and lower ARC module packaging tray behind driver's side of back seat. Check resistance between pins No. 28 and No. 60 at ARC module. If more than 1000 ohms, possible defective throttle position signal or EEC-VI module. If less than 10 ohms, repair short in circuit No. 836 Orange/White wire between ARC module and EEC IV module.
