On Circuit Test
- Do not substitute a new amplifier until throttle actuator has been tested. See SERVO ASSEMBLY test section in this article. Turn ignition on and connect voltmeter between circuit No. 151 (Light Blue/Black wire) of amplifier connector and ground.
- Voltmeter should read battery voltage with cruise control ON switch depressed. If voltage is not available, check horn relay circuit and control switch test. See HORN RELAY CIRCUIT TEST and CIRCUIT & CONTROL SWITCH test sections in this article. Release ON switch.
- Voltmeter should read 7.8 volts, indicating ON circuit is engaged. If meter reads zero volts, check for bad connector on circuit No. 151 (Light Blue/Black wire) of amplifier connector, ground circuit No. 57 (Black wire) to amplifier, or fuses No. 1 and 6.
