Quick Test: Test: Description

QUICK TEST is a functional check of 4EAT system. These 4 basic test steps must be carefully followed in sequence to avoid misdiagnosis or replacement of non-faulty components.

• PREPARATION
• EQUIPMENT HOOK-UP
• KEY ON ENGINE OFF (KOEO) SELF-TEST
• KEY ON ENGINE RUNNING (KOER) SELF-TEST

KOEO and KOER SELF-TESTS are intended to detect faults present at time of testing. Intermittent faults are stored in permanent memory and will remain until erased.

After all tests, servicing or repairs have been completed, repeat QUICK TEST  to ensure all 4EAT systems work properly.
