Differential Assembly: Disassembly

  1. Remove roll pin and pinion shaft. See Fig 1 . Remove pinions, and rotate thrust washers out of gear case.
  2. Remove side gears and thrust washers. Using a bearing puller, remove speedometer drive gear and rear bearing cone. Remove speedometer drive gear.
  3. Using a bearing puller, remove front bearing cone.
