Keyless Entry Check
- On all models except Town Car, arm and trigger alarm. Enter keyless entry door unlock code. If alarm shuts off, system is okay. Go to step 1) of ALARM RESET CHECK. On all models, if alarm does not shut off, go to step 2).
- On Continental and Mark VII, enter unlock code on keyless entry pad and check for less than one volt at terminal "H", circuit No. 25 (Dark Green/Purple) wire of control module, during electric door lock activation. If reading is less than one volt, replace control module and retest. If reading is more than one volt, go to step 4).
- On Cougar and Thunderbird, enter unlock code on keyless entry pad and check for momentary battery voltage signal at terminal No. 8, circuit No. 163 (Red/Orange) wire of control module. If battery voltage signal is present, replace control module and retest. If reading is less than one volt, check circuit No. 163 (Red/Orange) wire.
- On Continental and Mark VII, entry unlock code on keyless pad and check voltage on pin No. 2, circuit No. 163 (Red/Orange) wire of keyless entry disarm relay. If reading is battery voltage, replace keyless entry disarm relay and retest. If less than one volt, check circuit No. 163 (Red/Orange) wire.
