Amplifier Test: Notes
CAUTION:
DO NOT
use a test light to perform amplifier tests, as excessive current draw will damage the amplifier. Use only a DVOM with minimum 10 megohms input impedance.
NOTE:
To test for a malfunctioning amplifier on Aerostar, Explorer, and Ranger, substitute a known good unit. On Bronco, Pickup, and 1991 Van, begin testing with ON CIRCUIT TEST.
