Manual Lever Position (MLP) Switch (Neutral Safety Switch) (ATX Only):

The Manual Lever Position (MLP) switch incorporated on automatic transaxles, detects shift lever position and sends a signal to the Electronic Control Assembly (ECA) and the 4EAT Control Module. The MLP incorporates a neutral safety switch which enables the starting system. The MLP signal modifies air/fuel ratio, idle speed, and ignition timing. EGR flow is modified on non-turbo engines.
