RESUME Circuit

  1. On Escort and Tracer, connect voltmeter between circuit No. 356 (Red/Yellow wire) and ground. On all other models, connect voltmeter between circuit No. 151 (Light Blue/Black wire) and ground. Depress and hold cruise control RESUME button. Voltmeter should indicate 6.5 volts. Rotate steering wheel back and forth watching for fluctuations.
  2. If voltage varies more than 0.5 volt, perform CONTROL SWITCHES  test under COMPONENT TESTS. If reading for each circuit is correct, perform appropriate SERVO ASSEMBLY  test under COMPONENT TESTS and install a known good amplifier. DO NOT  try amplifier before SERVO ASSEMBLY test is performed.
