Distributor: Testing and Inspection

Distributor:

- Wipe all parts with a clean, soft cloth.
- Inspect the distributor base gasket and replace if damaged or worn.
- Inspect the distributor base for damage.
- Inspect the lower shaft for looseness or binding.

CAUTION: Do not attempt to disassemble and service the distributor. Only the distributor cap, distributor rotor, distributor boot, and distributor base gasket can be replaced individually. Other than these components, the distributor is not serviceable.
