Automatic Transmission

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Apply the parking brake and be sure the vehicle is on level ground.
3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS).
4. Disconnect the speedometer cable from the VSS.
5. Remove the bolt and gently pry out the VSS.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
2. Tighten the VSS bolt to 8-12 Nm (69-104 lb in).
