Driver-Side Air Bag Module: Removal

Before proceeding, see SERVICE PRECAUTIONS . Disable SRS. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM .
Remove access plugs from back of steering wheel. See Fig 1 . Remove two screw and washer assemblies retaining driver-side air bag module to steering wheel. Disconnect air bag module wiring connector from clockspring connector. Remove driver-side air bag module.
