Rear Defogger Switch

- Unplug connector from defogger switch. Ground defogger switch connector pin No. 4. Connect jumper wire between defogger switch connector pins No. 2 and 3. See Figure . Connect test light between pin No. 1 and ground.
- Using a fused jumper wire, connect battery voltage to connector pin No. 2. Test light should not come on. Connect battery voltage to connector pin No. 5. Rear window symbol on switch should come on.
- Momentarily press rocker switch. Indicator light should come on and stay on after rocker switch returns to normal position.
- Indicator light should go off only if rocker switch is pressed again, jumper wire is removed from between connector pins No. 2 and 3, or approximately 10 minutes have elapsed. Replace defogger switch if test results are not as specified.
