Rear Washer Inoperative

  1. Turn ignition off. Disconnect washer pump motor 2-pin connector. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage between ground and washer pump motor harness connector Blue/Purple wire. If battery voltage is present, go to next step. If battery voltage is not present, repair open in Blue/Purple wire. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  .
  2. Turn ignition off. Measure resistance between ground and washer pump motor harness connector Orange wire. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace washer pump motor. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, test wiper/washer switch. See WIPER/WASHER SWITCH  under COMPONENT TESTING. Replace switch as necessary. If switch is okay, repair Orange wire between switch and washer pump motor. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  .
