Catalyst Monitor Sensor

NOTE: Two catalyst monitor sensors are used for the engine control system. They are located in the dual converter Y pipe downstream from the catalyst.


EGO Sensor Wrench:






SPECIAL TOOL(S) REQUIRED

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Raise vehicle on hoist.
3. Disconnect catalyst monitor sensor at wiring harness connector.
4. Remove catalyst monitor sensors from dual converter Y pipe using Oxygen Sensor Wrench 303-476 (T94P-9472-A).

NOTE: If excessive force is needed to remove catalyst monitor sensor, lubricate with penetrating oil.

INSTALLATION
1. Follow removal procedure in reverse order.
2. Tighten catalyst monitor sensors to 37-45 Nm (28-33 lb-ft).
