Cylinder Head Assembly

NOTE: Use new cylinder head bolts.

NOTE: Left-hand cylinder head shown, right-hand is similar.






1. Install the eight 12 mm cylinder head bolts in the sequence shown. Tighten to 35 Nm (26 lb/ft).






2. Install the two 8 mm bolts and tighten them to 30-34 Nm (23-25 lb/ft).






3. Tighten the eight 12 mm bolts.
Stage 1: Rotate all eight bolts 90° in the sequence shown.
Stage 2: Rotate all eight bolts an additional 90° in the sequence shown.
