Pinpoint Test E: DTC C1169: Testing

NOTE: Repair all other DTCs before proceeding.

E1 CHECK FOR ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (ABS) MODULE DTCS
- Connect the diagnostic tool.
- Key in ON position.
  Clear the DTCs and road test the vehicle.
- Retrieve the DTCs.
- If DTC C1169 is present?
- Yes : GO to E2.
- No : System is operating correctly at this time.
E2 CHECK THE BASE BRAKE SYSTEM
- Check the base brake system. REFER to BRAKE SYSTEM-GENERAL INFORMATION .
- Is the base brake system OK?
- Yes : INSTALL a new hydraulic control unit (HCU). REFER to HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT (HCU) . TEST the system for normal operation.
- No : REPAIR the base brake system. REFER to BRAKE SYSTEM-GENERAL INFORMATION . TEST the system for normal operation.
