Passenger Air Bag Module: Installation

Remove or position anything aside that may be blocking the accessibility to the passenger air bag alignment rails.

Check passenger air bag alignment locators and bolt retainers for damage, repair as needed.

Install the passenger air bag module.
1. Position the passenger air bag module alignment locators to the alignment rails of the I/P.
2. Align the passenger air bag module deployment door tabs.

When all tabs and locators are aligned, slide and engage the passenger air bag module into the instrument panel.

Install the passenger air bag module bolts.

Connect the passenger air bag module electrical connector.

Install the RH lower instrument panel reinforcement mounting bracket.

Install the RH lower instrument panel reinforcement.

Repower the system. For additional information, refer to SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM (SRS) DEPOWERING AND REPOWERING .
